Famous People With Braces: Celebrities Who Straightened Their Smiles.
Famous People With Braces, Celebrities Who Prove Great Smiles Take Time
When people picture celebrities, they usually think of red carpets, cameras, and perfect smiles. What many people forget is that a lot of those famous smiles did not happen by accident.
Plenty of celebrities have worn braces or had orthodontic treatment. Some did it as teens. Some did it as adults. Some even wore braces while living in the spotlight.
So if you have ever felt unsure about starting treatment, this should help. Braces are not embarrassing. They are a step toward a healthier, more confident smile, and even famous people have gone through the same journey.
Celebrities Who Have Had Braces
Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise is one of the best-known examples of an adult celebrity wearing braces. He made headlines in 2002 when he appeared publicly with braces around the time of the Minority Report premiere.
That is a powerful reminder that orthodontic treatment is not just for teenagers. Adults can improve their smile too, and they do not need to feel awkward about it.
Faith Hill
Faith Hill is another great example of adult orthodontic treatment. She showed up to the 2013 Grammy Awards wearing braces and later explained that she had braces as a child but did not keep up with her retainer.
That part matters. Teeth can shift over time, and it is more common than people think. Her story is a good reminder that it is never too late to get your smile back on track.
Gwen Stefani
Gwen Stefani has often been mentioned as a celebrity who wore braces as an adult. She helped normalize the idea that braces are not only for kids and teens.
If anything, her example makes one thing clear. Wanting a better smile in adulthood is completely normal.
Prince Harry
Prince Harry was photographed with braces as a teenager, proving that even royals have gone through orthodontic treatment.
That is encouraging for younger patients, because it shows braces are simply part of growing into your smile.
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus has been widely linked to lingual braces, which sit behind the teeth and are much less noticeable than traditional braces.
That is good news for patients who want a more discreet option while still working toward a straighter smile.
Katy Perry
Katy Perry had a full set of braces and headgear for the video ‘last Friday Night’. These braces and headgear were custom fitted by Dr Panucci and she wears them throughout the video.
This is a great example of somebody using braces even in a music video for entertainment and a bit of fun.

Beyoncé
Beyoncé is often included in celebrity braces roundups as someone who helped make orthodontic treatment feel less unusual in the public eye.
Even when celebrities have access to every beauty treatment out there, a straighter smile still comes down to time, planning, and proper care.

What Famous People With Braces Can Teach Us
The biggest takeaway is simple. Braces are normal.
Celebrities, musicians, actors, and public figures have all gone through some version of the same process many patients face every day. Some started young. Some started later. Some needed treatment again after not wearing a retainer. Some chose less visible options.
There is no perfect age to begin. There is only the right time for you.
Braces Are Not Just About Looks
A straighter smile can absolutely boost confidence, but orthodontic treatment is not only about appearance.
Braces and Invisalign can also help improve bite issues, make teeth easier to clean, reduce wear in some cases, and support long-term oral health. That means starting treatment is not about vanity. It is about investing in yourself.

Are there less noticeable alternatives to braces?
Yes. Depending on your needs, options may include Invisalign, clear braces, or lingual braces that sit behind the teeth. A consultation can help determine what works best for your smile and lifestyle.
