Shelley: Treatment Coordinator
Shelley keeps our busy office running smoothly and has an extensive background in retail management working for such notable corporations as Nordstrom, The North Face, and Pottery Barn. Originally from Michigan, Shelley moved to California and received her bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Shelley has lived in the South Bay since 1996 and is an avid outdoor athlete, competing in several Triathlons. When she’s not keeping our office in shape, Shelley spends time with her two children and is actively involved in their school and after-school activities.

Gloria: Clinical Technician/RDA

GLORIA brings 5 years of orthodontic assisting experience to the Beach Braces team as a Clinical Technician. During appointments, her spunky personality quickly puts patients at ease. Gloria is a very skilled, knowledgeable and caring individual who takes immense pride in seeing patients’ smiles and self-esteem improve as a result of the orthodontic care in our office. As a small boutique practice specializing in personal touch, Beach Braces provides Gloria with an environment that she truly relishes. She loves the specialized attention each patient receives here and enjoys having the time to get to know the patients and their families. Having braces as a teen inspired Gloria to enter the dental profession. Her orthodontic experience was so intriguing that she wanted to know the particular names of each piece of metal inside her mouth! So, Gloria attended her local vocational college to pursue dental assisting. She became one of the top students in her class and received numerous awards from her counselors: “Honor Roll,” “Perfect Attendance,” and she was even asked to hold the prestigious role of “Teacher’s Assistant.” After graduation, Gloria survived the intense process to become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in the state of California. Gloria has three wonderful children. Her oldest son loves building LEGO figures and watching Star Wars movies. Her oldest daughter is a little princess who loves to play “dress up,” and apply lots of ChapStick. Her youngest daughter enjoys the park, and playing with her older siblings. When she is not in the office, Gloria enjoys taking the kids to museums, parks, and movie theaters. Gloria and her family love the LA Lakers.

Mary: Clinical Technician/RDA

MARY is our lead Clinical Technician who works side by side with Dr. Panucci to deliver exceptional patient care. Mary brings 8 years of first-class orthodontic assisting experience to Beach Braces. Mary earned her dental assisting certificate in 2003 and immediately began working in the field of orthodontics. Shortly thereafter, she earned her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license including coronal polishing and x-ray certificates. She assists Dr. Panucci in creating beautiful smiles every day. She is your liaison for any orthodontic questions or concerns. Mary enjoys working and interacting with people. She is very gentle, caring and dedicated to patients’ needs. Mary is also our skilled laboratory technician who fabricates retainers, appliances, and other orthodontic devices. Mary’s keen eye and attention to detail are attributes that set her apart in her specialty. Mary was born and raised here in the South Bay. She loves spending time with her two children and extended family. Mary’s daughter has been very active in cheerleading since she was 5 years old and loves music and dance choreography. Her son is your all-around typical boy. He enjoys every kind of sports activity and playing with his G.I. Joe action figures. Mary spends her leisure time walking, hiking, listening to music and simply relaxing at home with her kids--playing games and watching movies.

Jayme: Clinical Technician
We would like to introduce our newest team member, Jayme. She joins our team as a Clinical Technician with over 11 years of dental and orthodontic experience. When you meet Jayme, one of the first things you will notice is hergentleness and caring attitude. Jayme, her husband and their 3 children are a very active family, taking frequent trips to The River for vacations and lots of fun!!

Tami: Appointment Coordinator
That friendly voice answering your phone calls is our appointment coordinator, Tami. She’s born and raised in Southern California and has now started her family roots here. As you may have noticed- Tami has braces, yes, she is one of our amazing patients! We were so excited to hear that Tami finished her dental assistant training and wanted to become part of our Beach Braces Team! What a great addition she is proving to be! When Tami is not making appointments for our patients, you can find her being a happy and dedicated Mom to her young daughter- reading books, watching movies and simply enjoying those early years of growing up! Tami is a beach girl and loves to relax when possible! When asked about the future, Tami says with a smile, “I love the dental industry, and plan on growing with my skills and education.”
